Inside The 2025 Black Women In Hollywood Gift Bags - Essence | Essence

In late February, ESSENCE closed Black History Month with our annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards at Los Angeles’s Fairmont Century Plaza. From our March/April cover star Tyra Banks to honorees like Cynthia Erivo and Teyana Taylor, our white carpet was filled with nothing but Black excellence and beauty. And, speaking of beauty, after guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches, each left with an exclusive gift bag full of some of our favorite launches.

Held in an ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood-exclusive large green Brandon Blackwood leather tote (which included a pouch and wallet) were products like Danessa Myricks’s viral Blurring Balm Powder and Epi.Logic’s Double Feature, to Mielle’s Avocado & Tamanu Mousse and The Lip Bar Lip Liner. To top it all off? Attendees also walked away with our Jan/Feb 2025 issue featuring Sha’Carri Richardson on the cover.
